Pro Pet Photography of Pet Dogs at Home

The pet photo that captures a unique mood always wins the heart of the viewers. Pets could be funny & with a little observation you could easily find some of the unique poses that is so particular to that pet. Be it a pet dog or a pet cat or any other pet, there is always something very unique to each of them.

This pet dog has the habit of running up on the sofa, move the blinds with his nose & observe what is happening on the street below. He does it several times, and specifically if he hears another dog walking outside.

This shot is a rather difficult one, with the blinds partially down & a sun-lit outside. It was taken on the Nikon D200 Camera with a professional Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Portrait Lens in manual focus. The exposure was tricky & I had to run 5 exposure compensated shots to get the right one. Spot metering was used, metered off the wall & exposure was locked in before clicking the shutter.

The image was taken as a digital Black & White & was later digitally processed in GIMP with very minor exposure touch-ups to get the right exposure on the blinds. It was cropped to make it suitable for display online.
